Employee Spotlight: Linda Strisovsky

46 Years of Dedication | June 1979 – Present

There are employees who come in, do the job, and move through the years… and then there are people like Linda Strisovsky, who become part of the foundation, the history, and the everyday culture of Banko Beverage.

Linda’s story with Banko began long before she ever officially stepped through the doors as an employee. While still a senior at Dieruff High School, she worked part-time after school at A-B International Trucks, then owned by Mr. Banko. That early connection opened a door that would turn into a lifelong career. When Banko needed help, she was offered an opportunity and she stepped into it without hesitation. What started as a chance became 46 years of dedication, growth, and consistency that few can match.

Looking back, Linda describes it simply: “I had a part-time job after school my senior year… they needed someone at Banko and I was given that opportunity and the rest is history.” That understated reflection says a lot about her personality… steady, humble, and focused more on doing the work than talking about it.

Over nearly five decades, Linda has seen the company evolve, grow, and change in countless ways. Through it all, she has remained a constant presence, someone coworkers know they can rely on, learn from, and trust. Outside of work, Linda is married and a proud mother of two.

When asked about memorable moments, one instantly stands out: a Banko Christmas party in the Oak Room. It wasn’t just another company gathering, it turned into one of those nights people still talk about years later. Linda, alongside Lori Shellhamer and Linda Ferenchko, took the stage to sing backup for Walt Olenick in a karaoke performance of the iconic “Love Shack” by the B-52’s. It was fun, a little chaotic, and completely unforgettable… the kind of moment that captures the lighter side of workplace culture and the friendships built over time.

These are the moments that don’t show up in job descriptions or titles, but they matter just as much as the day-to-day work. They’re what turn a workplace into a community.

And when it comes to winding down, Linda keeps things simple. Her go-to favorite is Heineken Silver, a fitting choice for someone who appreciates consistency, quality, and familiarity.

After 46 years, her journey reflects not just longevity, but commitment through every season of change. She has contributed to the story of Banko in ways both big and small, and her presence continues to be a steady part of its future.

Thank you, Linda, for 46 years of dedication, memories, and heart. Your story is woven into the fabric of Banko… and it’s one worth celebrating.
